Who We Are
We are Bloomington residents! Our volunteer board is a collaborative network involving many sectors of the community: education, government, business, faith, service/civic groups, and families. Youth compose half of our board!
We also have an impressive list of Commitment Makers - organizations that make an official pledge to devote time and talents to connect youth with the 40 Developmental Assets. These partners of BUY provide a variety of resources needed for a Community of Excellence to function.

Opportunities for Involvement
Here are some fun and meaningful ways for both youth and adults to get involved:
Central Grounds Youth Coffeehouse
A student-driven initiative to operate a chemical-free, fun and safe youth center to hang out after highschool.
Tomorrow's Voices Today (TVT)
A variety of skills are needed to help Bloomington youth create a television show.
High School and Middle School Youth Leadership Retreat
Learn more about yurself, others nad how to plug your energy into youth volunteer opportunities throughout Bloomington.
Planting the Seeds
Get involved in your community through volunteering to serve Bloomington residents.
Statewide Box City Vigil
Organized by Bloomington students to raise awareness for youth homelessness.

Make your noice heard to make Bloomington a better place for youth. Join an Action Team focused on making an impact in the community:
- Partner Development - recruit local orgnizations dedicated to youth
- Youth Involvement - plug youth into meaningful community activities
- Community Awareness - get the word out about positive development of youth
